*All visitors need an Entry Visa to be obtained, before the arrival, at Eritrean embassies in the country of residence. Only for those country where is not available Eritrean Embassy, an entry visa can be obtained at arrival, but with due process with Immigration Department in Asmara.

* Travel Permits are not necessary for all travel inside of the Asmara region, defined as roughly 25km from the city.

Day 01: Arrival at Asmara International Airport
Day 01: Arrival at Asmara International Airport

Upon your arrival at Asmara International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Relax at your accommodation before having a pre-dinner meeting with your tour guide in order to discuss the tour program.

In the afternoon we start to discover Asmara. A guided tour will take you to some of the most interesting places in Asmara that UNESCO's World Heritage Site offers.

Day 02: Asmara city tour
Day 02: Asmara city tour

After breakfast, our tour starts in Asmara and places around Asmara. Asmara inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List and the town called "Piccola Roma" (Little Rome) and architectural wonders described in many of its buildings such as the Roman Catholic Cathedral, St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Al Khulafa al Rashedin, Market (vegetable, spices), Medeber (recycling depot), National Museum, Fiat Tagliero Building, Tank Cemetery, etc.

Day 03: Asmara - Massawa

Drive to the Red Sea port of Massawa through Filfil- Solomuna road usually called the Green belt. The road initially built by the Italians as a weather road has been turned into a fine tarmac by the Government of Eritrea Visitors may feel as if they are driving above the clouds as they could apparently watch the clouds down the hill. Bird watching is glamorous in Filfil Solomuna Visitors can have a coffee break at Sabur or Medhanit.

Continuing the journey visitors will witness the desert plains before reaching the port city of Massawa.

Day 04: Sea Excursion and scuba diving at the Dahlak Archipelago

Eritrea is endowed with 1200 kilometers of coastline. Moreover, there are 360 islands in its territorial waters. The Dahlak Archipelago is a fascinating group of islands. The largest one is the Dahlak Kebir. A trip by boat from Massawa to Dessie, Madote Durgum Durgela, and many other islands lying some miles apart is such an exciting adventure.

Day 05: Plying between the islands of Dessie, Asacra

A continuous enjoyment of Diving during the day and also during the night as the visitors may prefer to choose. There are expert Master divers to give necessary guidance and the necessary watch for any assistance.

Day 06: Plying between the Islands of Durgum Durgella

Our last day at Dahlak Islands and We continue with diving and fishing while plying between these two islands at a distance of few kilometers is quite entertaining. In the afternoon back to Massawa.

Day 07: Massawa - Asmara

After breakfast, visit the port city of Massawa – City of islands and the ‘Pearl of the Red Sea, a city which for centuries has been one of the region’s most important ports. With its exquisite Turkish-Egyptian-Italian style architecture and shopping arcades, beautiful mosques, and delicious seafood, Massawa is the perfect destination to cater to all tastes.

In the afternoon drive uphill while enjoying the magnificent scenery and lush vegetation all the way to Asmara, as time allows with stops on the way at interesting sites.

Late in the evening transfer to airport for departure.

When and where does the tour start?
Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers.
