*All visitors need an Entry Visa to be obtained, before the arrival, at Eritrean embassies in the country of residence. Only for those country where is not available Eritrean Embassy, an entry visa can be obtained at arrival, but with due process with Immigration Department in Asmara.

* Travel Permits are not necessary for all travel inside of the Asmara region, defined as roughly 25km from the city.

Day 1 : Asmara - Keren
Day 1 : Asmara - Keren

After breakfast, travel via the major Asmara - Keren highway through the town of Serejeqa to the city of Keren.

Keren is the second-largest city in Eritrea. It is situated around 91 kilometers northwest of Asmara at an elevation of 1,390 meters above sea level. It has a moderate climate. The fine tarmac road, built by the Italians is like a hairpin curved out from mountainous plateaus.

Day 2 : Keren - Massawa
Day 2 : Keren - Massawa

The day starts by visiting the colorful Keren market is every Monday. The bustling market that comprises camel, livestock. Keren is well known for the fiercest battles that went on between the Commonwealth and the Italian forces in 1941. The fall of Keren in the hands of the Common Wealth advancing army signaled the end of Italian occupation in Eritrea. Visitors will also visit the Italian and Common Wealth war cemeteries, the famous Mariam Dearit temple curved out from a Baobab tree.
In the afternoon we leave Keren and heading to the Red Sea coast and the port city of Massawa - the pearl of the Red sea.

Day 04: Massawa City Tour

Massawa enjoys a combination of Turkish and Italian Architects, an apparent indication of the Ottoman and Italian colonial history. There is, among others, an old Turkish Palace and the Modern Port built by the Titians at the turn of the 20th Century. A more than one thousand years mosque is still standing to this day. A great attraction to many visitors

Day 4 : Massawa - Asmara

Morning boat trip to the uninhabited Green Island/Isola Verde, for a short walk, and the opportunity to swim. There may be some birdwatching possible on this little island. In the afternoon drive uphill while enjoying the magnificent scenery and lush vegetation all the way to Asmara, as time allows with stops on the way at interesting sites.
