The marine park is situated in the Dahlak Marine archipelago of the Red Sea. There are over 350 islands. We will visit 2 of the islands. With the Adventure tour Discover Eritrea, we will visit the capital city of Eritrea, Asmara home to over 400 Art Deco buildings, certified by UNESCO as world heritage site, Qohaito Archeological Site, colorful Keren market is every Monday, The Mosque of the Companions , mosque in the city of Massawa. Arrive early in the morning in Asmara and our driver will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon we take a tour of Asmara. A guided tour will take you to some of the most interesting places in Asmara.

After breakfast, our tour starts in Asmara and places around Asmara. Asmara inscribed on the UNESCO Heritage List and the town called “Piccola Roma” (Little Rome) and architectural wonders described in many of its buildings such as the Roman Catholic Cathedral, St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Al Khulafa al Rashedin, Market (vegetable, spices), Medeber (recycling depot), National Museum, Fiat Tagliero Building, Tank Cemetery, etc.

After breakfast, the trip to Keren begins. Keren is the second-largest city in Eritrea. It is situated around 91 kilometers northwest of Asmara at an elevation of 1,390 meters above sea level. It has a moderate climate. The fine tarmac road, built by the Italians is like a hairpin curved out from mountainous plateaus.

The day starts by visiting the colorful Keren market is every Monday. The bustling market that comprises camel, livestock. Keren is well known for the fiercest battles that went on between the Commonwealth and the Italian forces in 1941. The fall of Keren in the hands of the Common Wealth advancing army signaled the end of Italian occupation in Eritrea. Visitors will also visit the Italian and Common Wealth war cemeteries, the famous Mariam Dearit temple curved out from a Baobab tree.
In the afternoon we leave Keren and heading to the Red Sea coast and the port city of Massawa – the pearl of the Red sea.

After breakfast, Exciting boat trip from Massawa to beautiful and pristine Dissie and Madote Islands.
Dissie and Madote Islands are part of the Dahlak Archipelago, among the pleasant and most visited and, lying 22 miles and 17 miles South off the coast of Massawa respectively, have beautiful beaches, corals, birdlife, there is a possibility of seeing groupers, snappers, lionfish, sea turtles, Dolphins, etc. They are good for snorkeling, diving, and camping,
OVERNIGHT IN DAHLAK ISLAND, camping at Dessie
The second day at Dahlak Islands and We continue with diving and fishing while plying between these two islands at a distance of few kilometers is quite entertaining. In the afternoon back to Massawa.

After breakfast, visit the port city of Massawa – City of islands and the ‘Pearl of the Red Sea’, a city which for centuries has been one of the region’s most important ports. With its exquisite Turkish-Egyptian-Italian style architecture and shopping arcades, beautiful mosques, and delicious seafood, Massawa is the perfect destination to cater to all tastes. In addition to the city’s attractions, pristine beaches and enjoyable swimming are available just a short distance from the city center.

Start early in the morning, boat trip to Green Island, the most accessible island from Massawa consisting of the beach and mangrove swamp.
In the afternoon drive uphill while enjoying the magnificent scenery and lush vegetation all the way to Asmara, as time allows with stops on the way at interesting sites.
Early morning hours we will drive to the town of Mendefera. The town is dominated by two hills on either side of the main road. Among the things to see in Mendefera include the market, the ancient Mosque, and the old Saint George Church (San Giorgio Church).
Travel further to Adi Quala, a pleasant market town 32 km from Mendefera. It is covered with vegetation and a slew of agricultural plains, small stores, and cafes.

Today we will drive Southeast to see the ancient ruins at Qohaito: these standing stones, evidence of walls, and a rock-cut tomb date from about 2500 years ago. From Qohaito, we will drive on to Senafe and visit the Mount Metera and Belowkelwo archaeological sites, which are regarded as pre-Axumite. Drive back to Asmara

Our Cancellations for the confirmed bookings by client(s) due to personal circumstances after signing the Tour Agreement up to 30 days prior to departure are subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the total Tour Price.
Cancellations received less than 30 days up to 15 days before commencement of the Tour 15% of the total Tour Price has to be paid. By cancellations received 10 days up to 5 days before commencement of the Tour 50% of the total

*All visitors need an Entry Visa. To get it before your arrival visit Eritrean Embassies in your home country. Only for those countries where there are no Eritrean Embassies can an entry visa be obtained on arrival at the airport in Asmara.
* Travel Permits is required for all foreign nationals who wish to leave the Asmara region. Travel permits are sought on the spot in Eritrea. The issuing of such a travel permit is handled by Adulis Travel. To obtain a travel permit, you will need to present a photocopy of your passport details and visa pages.
