Adulis Travel is an Eritrea-based travel company founded by local guides with deep roots in the Horn of Africa. Our founders grew up walking the streets of Asmara, diving the reefs of the Dahlak Archipelago, and crossing the highlands that few outsiders ever see. That intimacy with the land, and its people, is the foundation of every journey we create.
We take our name from the ancient port city of Adulis, once the greatest trading post on the Red Sea. Like that crossroads of civilisations, we believe travel is most powerful when it creates genuine exchange: between traveller and host, between curiosity and culture.
Whether you join one of our scheduled group departures or ask us to create a fully private itinerary, every journey is built with the same care. We listen first, then compose an experience calibrated to you: your pace, your interests, your level of adventure.
One of our founders lives in Sweden and travels regularly back to Eritrea: a ground team in Asmara handling guides, permits and logistics on the spot, and a contact point in Europe answering in your language and timezone, from first enquiry to the day you fly home.
