Eritrea is a northeast African country on the Red Sea coast. The capital city, Asmara, is known for its Italian colonial buildings, like Fiat Tagliero service station.
In 2017, the city was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved modernist architecture.
Great bespoke tour. I arranged a seven day private tour through Adulis travel. They were responsive and offered a good itinerary with feedback about several options. They changed my itinerary to accommodate any whims that I had and ensured that key objectives were met. I thoroughly recommend the company.

The Dahlak Archipelago, an island group in the Red Sea, is located near Massawa, Eritrea. It is composed of two large islands and 124 smaller ones. The archipelago’s pearl fishing industry has been a major source of pearls since Roman times. Dahlak Kebir, the largest and most populous of the four islands that are permanently inhabited.
The archipelago also includes Dissei and Dohul as well as Nora and Shumm. However, only Dohul and Nora are permanently inhabited. These islands attract a growing number of tourists (Eritrea Travel) because they are home to a variety of marine life and seabirds. The archipelago’s inhabitants speak Dahlik, and they still live a traditional life that includes fishing and raising goats and camels.
