Laas Geel & Dhagah Kure
Drive out to Laas Geel, home to some of the finest and best-preserved Neolithic rock art in Africa - vivid cattle and pastoral scenes painted 5,000 to 9,000 years ago and still astonishingly bright. Continue to the lesser-known Dhagah Kure caves before returning to Hargeisa, with the required permit and local escort arranged throughout, both included.

Somaliland is stable and safe for guided travel. Mogadishu in Somalia is visited with a government-appointed armed police escort throughout. We run private departures only and coordinate all security arrangements for this 8-day tour.
Do I need visas for both Somaliland and Somalia?
Yes. Somaliland issues a visa on arrival in Hargeisa with our Letter of Invitation, while Somalia requires a separate visa and invitation letter for Mogadishu, both of which we arrange for booked guests.
How do you travel between Hargeisa and Mogadishu?
The tour includes a domestic flight between Hargeisa and Mogadishu, the standard and safest way to connect the two cities. Overland travel between them is not recommended for visitors.
